According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.com, Texas and Atlanta have agreed in principal on a trade that will send Mark Teixeira and Ron Mahay to the Braves for Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Elvis Andrus, and two pitching prospects, pending a review of the players’ medical records.

After years of dreaming that someday the Rangers would make a trade for a top flight, true #1 ace pitching prospect… Well, if Teixeira can’t bring that, Rangers fans can stop dreaming, because we will NEVER see one in Arlington!
I don’t know why people are so down about the future, with a couple of good breaks and and active singing period this off season with a better start and health we could be headed for an exciting 2008.
Nice trade Jon D. Now we must trade Laird today. We didn’t bring Saltalamaccia here to be a first baseman, if he could do that the Braves would have had him playing there. I think the Cubs would have a lot of interest, let’s watch and see.
